My primary issue with Smithers Animal Hospital is that when it became clear we had exhausted their avenues for diagnosing our dog's issues, no one was willing to say "this is beyond our capabilities, let us refer you to a specialist." Instead, they wanted to make repeated appointments - a stressful event for our dog, with no real resolution other than "Let's try this for a couple weeks and see what happens". We ended up emailing several other vets with his full history. Of those who responded, all kindly admitted they couldn't help and pointed us to a specialist at Ozark Veterinary Specialty Care. Since then, we've received a diagnosis of suspected transitional cell carcinoma, a common bladder cancer in dogs, and he has already greatly improved with treatment. Please remember to be advocates for your pets.

Although our first visit here ended with our 13 year old baby having lung cancer. Having to put him to the next day. I was so impressed on how the staff and doctors treated our sweet boy Bondo, and us. Made sure he was comfortable and gave us time. Very sympathetic, and was very insightful when giving the diagnosis. I will continue to use this vet office for the rest of my fur babies. Thank you, for all that yall did for us and Bondo.

Took my cat in there. My husband took off work. Went there for eyes ticks and fleas and got a bag of cat food. Spent almost 300$ and his eyes never got better and he was covered in fleas and ticks in less than a month I have called and called. They only offered a free visit and for us to have to repay for everything. I would highly recommend not waist your money on this clinic. Just a money making clinic. If they cared for their animals after spending almost 300$ they would have offered to fix everything. But they did not just a free visit We are very poor and can't afford to just throw money away to make them richer. God bless everyone.
