this place is not what I expected at all based on driving by it. The waits are really long and the vet seemed rushed, they barely looked at my cat before handing me a bill I felt kinda ripped off.

Upon visiting the Jacksonville Animal Hospital for the euthanasia of my dog, I encountered a series of concerning and insensitive actions from the veterinarian. Despite being directed to the examination room with the doctor, he proceeded to inform us of the procedure. However, his repeated misgendering of my dog, referring to her as “he,” was deeply hurtful and undermined the solemnity of the situation. The doctor’s monotone voice and script-like delivery made it feel as though he was merely reading a prepared statement rather than being fully present and empathetic. This lack of respect and consideration for my dog’s identity was particularly painful. Furthermore, the veterinarian’s handling of my dog after she had been administered tranquilizer and was asleep was highly distressing. He aggressively flipped her over, treating her as a mere object rather than a beloved companion. This incident caused significant emotional trauma for me and my family.

I do not have any pictures of the facility but it is a nice veterinary office with several doctors. I am thoroughly convinced that Dr Larousse saved my dog's life. He had to be hospitalized with a severe case of pancreantitis and was VERY ill. He stayed there for a days getting iv drugs and oral ones. I was allowed to see him and give him hugs daily, which made us both feel more comfortable. I can't recommend this place enough. I did have to have one dog put down there and it was terrible because the vet did everything he could to save him. He was very upset when we had to come to that decision but we both knew we gave it our all to try to save him. Great place to take your fur babies.
