This veterinary clinic is one of the very best I have ever been to for my French Brittany, Louis. I was devastated after my almost 14-year-old dog, Buster, was hit by a vehicle and suffered a dislocated hip. During our visit, I felt like the veterinarian made a very quick assessment by squeezing his toes and immediately telling me he was paralyzed without what I felt was a thorough evaluation. I was then presented with a $5,000 surgery estimate, and euthanasia was discussed. As a pet owner, I left feeling like I was being pushed toward one of those options instead of being given hope or other possibilities. After bringing Buster home, he has been wagging his tail, using the bathroom on his own, and even trying to walk. While I understand recovery can be unpredictable, these signs made me question whether his condition had been fully evaluated. I was also very concerned when we unexpectedly visited and found Buster in a hot room where cows were being kept. That added to my worries about the care he was receiving. This was one of the hardest days of my life, and I wish I had felt more compassion, communication, and a more thorough evaluation during such a difficult situation.
